Through The Eyes Of Tim Burton

Alice In Wonderland character designers Bobby Chiu and Kei Acedera did an amazing job on perhaps one of the most anticipated movies of the year from Disney. In what is said to boasts eye-popping visuals, 3D effects and a stellar cast, the latest adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic by creative visionary Tim Burton will surely dazzle audiences.

Imagine The Impossible!

Take one part the classic Lewis Carroll, add another part of the new with the dynamic duo of director Tim Burton and superstar Johnny Depp; and combine it all with the magic of Disney. Looks like Alice In Wonderland has all the makings of a huge blockbuster! We’re especially exited for our MINDstyle family artists, Bobby Chiu and Kei Acedera, who are two of the three credited character designers on the film. Their concept art an original works inspired by will also be part of the official exhibition in Paris.

MINDstyle LIFEstyle Artists: Yosuke Ueno

MINDstyle LIFEstyle is proud to welcome Yosuke Ueno from Japan to our family; following the recent announcement of Kenny Scharf in an amazing continuing series of art toy collectibles collaborations for 2010 and beyond!

Yosuke says it best, “The most important thing when I paint is to be very careful. It is a consciousness in which I can’t anticipate what kind of work will result. I hope to challenge in paint what I couldn’t handle with my mind. An adventurer makes his way without fully knowing what lies ahead. A chemist never succeeds without experimentation. When I am working, I get to the point where I can’t even imagine the outcome, and then suddenly see a brand-new, beautiful path.”

Kenny Scharf x MINDstyle

Many of Scharf’s works consist of popular culture based shows. He uses images from the animated cartoons popular during his childhood, such as Hanna Barbera’s The Flintstones and The Jetsons. One of the reasons Scharf uses cartoon images in his art work is to bring popular culture into the fine arts. Scharf wants to see how far he can push the line between high and low art, and now enter… art toys!

With the announcement earlier this year of Hanna Barbera’s The Flintstones and The Jetsons, it’s now official that MINDstyle’s all-star artist lineup continues with ATC figures by Kenny Scharf. He was a key figure in the East Village art scene of the 1980s, with shows at Fun gallery (1981) and Tony Shafrazi (1984), before seeing his work embraced by museums, such as the Whitney, which selected him for the 1985 Whitney Biennial. Scharf was friends with the graffiti artist Keith Harring and Andy Warhol in part of pop movement thriving today!

Limited editon licensed collectible figures are now in development.
